So what are emeralds? They are dark green gemstones, sometimes with a blue tint. A big emerald can get really expensive real fast, if you just don’t have such a big budget, you can always opt for emerald earring studs. These are less expensive but they sure look great as well. Emerald earrings can really enhance your look, they’re great to wear for a chic dinner but also for doing groceries.
Emeralds aren’t fragile but they certainly aren’t as hard as diamonds. They just need to be cared for tenderly as they have natural inclusions that weaken them. Emerald earrings are known to attract dust, dirt and oils by just wearing them so cleaning them regularly is advised. However, the use of an ultrasonic cleaner might not be a good idea in this case. Because of their natural inclusions they are a bit weaker and this may damage them permanently.
It’s a good idea to use strong cleaner or even a steamer to remove the accumulated oils from an oiling treatment. The reason why you would want an oiling treatment for your emerald earrings is that it can help reduce the appearance of inclusions.
You’re still not convinced? Emerald earrings can take you from not to hot. They’re a great addition to your appearance and persona. A big emerald may be costly and if those are out of your budget you can simply wear emerald earring studs. It’s important to take good care of your jewels as they don’t do it themselves. Be gentle and don’t wait too long with it. You’ll look like a whole new person.
