Discontinued Makeup: What Can You Do?

By

We all hate to hear the word discontinued makeup. Well at least women do, I don’t really know about men but I’m sure there are a few out there that hate it as well. You use your favorite makeup for years and then suddenly the company that manufactures the makeup decides to stop making it. What can you do to still get your favorite makeup? You can do a few things so don’t worry. I will cover how to do research, where to look and a brief conclusion

How to do research For discontinued makeupHow to do research For discontinued makeup

If you want to find your favorite discontinued makeup you have to do some research. Thankfully this is 2010 and we have google.com, I’m sure you have heard of it. Thanks to the internet research is done fast and easy in most cases. If you however can’t find your product you might feel a little disappointed. Don’t be, because I’ll help you out.

Where to look

Contact the makeup manufacturer. If a lot of people contact the manufacturer it sends a message. The company might think they have made a bad decision and might start making the makeup again. This chance is small though but it could happen. Another reason to contact the manufacturer is that they might have left over stock that they can’t get rid of, or they might know a few places that still sell the discontinued makeup.

Online auction sites may have discontinued makeup as well. Think of sites like eBay or craigslist. You never know if someone might have known that the company was going to discontinue the makeup. These people obviously stocked up so they can help you out! (And make money).

If those options fail though, I have two other last resorts for you. Check out makeup.com or direct cosmetics. Makeup.com has a discontinued makeup section that might have your particular brand you are searching for.

Conclusion

The key thing here is to take action. Do your research and go to the sites I listed. You should probably be able to find the makeup you are looking for. If you do find the makeup, don’t buy just one or two units. You should really stock up since its discontinued makeup, there will be a day that no one on the planet still has it. You have to keep in mind that one day, you will have to move on to another makeup product.
